Clergy Laity Congress 2013

The 11th Clergy-Laity Congress of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia was hosted by our Parish of St Spyridon from Sunday 20th - Wednesday 23rd January 2013.

The Clergy-Laity Congress is the highest administrative organ of the Church in Australia and is attended by all Hierarchs, Priests, Presidents and representatives of the Philoptochos Ladies' Auxiliaries.

Fellowship Dinner 2009



On Sunday 13th December 2009 the Spyridon Fellowship held its annual Christmas Dinner at the Waterfront Restaurant, the Rocks, West Circular Quay, Sydney. It was a most enjoyable end to a very inspiring year of Fellowship and Bible Study.

Inter-Orthodox Paschal Liturgy

On Friday, 24 April 2009, the Inter-Orthodox Paschal Liturgy was conducted by His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos at St Spyridon Church.

Anzac Day 2009

St Spyridon Church was dedicated by the late Governor of New South Wales, Sir Roden Cutler, V.C., as a War Memorial in honour of Greek and Australian soldiers who fell in the Two World Wars, during a Doxology Service conducted by His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos, on Saturday, 19th July 1975. Since then, St Spyridon has honoured the fallen every Anzac Day with a Doxology Service.

UNSW Regiment Colours

On Sunday 30th November 2008, the UNSW Regiment marched to St Spyridon church in splendid ceremonial uniform to present their new Colours.
